American Airlines, a class act

American Airlines called me the other day to ask how I was doing. This is not an April Fool's Day joke. American called me to see how I was doing.
American and the whole travel industry is taking it on the chin right now, but they devoted some small portion of their staff to checking up on their (admittedly) best customers.
They weren't trying to sell me anything, they were just checking in.
I know there is a long, long way to go before we are out of the COVID-19 restrictions. I know none of us know what the "new normal" will be and how it will compare to the "old normal."
This is a bad situation for everyone, and it is worse for some. That being said, I really appreciated that American took the time to talk to me. Heck, they see me 100 times a year, maybe just they miss me?
